Hilux Industries is the vision and dream of Russ Olivas, a welder/fabricator who has been honing his skills throughout the country for the past decade. After completing a comprehensive welding curriculum at the countries largest welding supplier, Lincoln Electric, he mastered the arts of pipe and structural welding on nuclear submarines in RI at General Dynamics Electric Boat. From there, he ventured to NYC where he worked alongside talented crafts men and women on artistic, large scale custom fabrications at Argosy Designs. These experiences with high end finishes and materials solidified the direction and pursuit in bringing high end, luxury, metal fabrications to life.
Russ has also spent time in the management role and was a construction superintendent on high rise buildings for 7 years in NYC, San Francisco and Portland. With experience in communication, coordination, scheduling and design development, we’re confident we can assist any client in conceptualizing their dreams and making them a reality through an array of fabrication techniques performed both in house and by collaborating local vendors.
